Computer is freezing up.
Hi,
I have a Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit system. In April I was having trouble with a BSOD and we installed a new motherboard and power supply. The mother board was "ASROCK Z77 Extreme". Formatted, reinstalled Windows. Now I am having problems again. When the system is left inactive for maybe 1/2 hr, it freezes up. I have to press the power button to turn it off. The event viewer reveals that a "kernel power 41" critical event has occurred. A screen shot is enclosed.
I was advised that the CD rom had stopped working and I should disconnect it. This did not solve the problem.
I experimented with the sleep settings, set the Hard Drive to turn off in "300 minutes" while sleep setting were set to 5 minutes. The system was not happy with this, and I ended up with a BSOD. I have camera shots of various fail screens if anyone is interested.
Seeing as we rebuilt practically the entire computer in April, I would prefer not to go thru this again 4 months later. If anyone has any ideas, I would be most grateful.
