Keyboard won't work until OS Win 7 is fully up and running Anyone know of a fix for this problem?
I can use my keyboard in my OS fine but trying to go into safe boot or Bios is not possible because the keyboard is not showing up.
Really would love some help so if someone with a similar issue in the past could please help that would be great.

You must be able to enter the BIOS as the option is there, are you using the correct Hotkey? | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x86/Ubuntu CPU Intel Core i5 2500k at 3.3 GhZ Memory 2x4GB DDR3 1333Hz Graphics Card Ati Radeon 6770 Sound Card Speakers Monitor(s) Displays 1x 15" HD 572 Screen Resolution 1024x768 Keyboard Wired Keyboard Mouse Wired Mouse Cooling 3x Fans Hard Drives 2x500GB Internet Speed 10MB/s Other Info Netbook: Dell Inspiron Mini |

Most BIOS builds include the option to support a USB Keyboard.
Plug in a PS/2 keyboard temporarily and explore the BIOS and change this setting so that you can use a USB keyboard with the BIOS, that will solve the issue | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built machine OS W7 x64 CPU Intel Q9300 2.5Ghz Quad LGA775 (Would like Q9650) Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3R (F6 Bios) Memory 4Gb OCZ Gold 1,333Mhz Graphics Card Palit HD4850 O/C Sonic 512Mb DDR3, Dual DViD's Sound Card Azalia to twin Samson 50w Studio Monitors Monitor(s) Displays Twin Dell (E-IPS) U2311H 23.6" Screens Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz Keyboard Cherry PS/2 custom model Mouse Logitech M500 Laser Mouse PSU OCZ 600w Case Lian-Li PC8 acoustifoamed' aluminium tower Cooling Scythe 140mm Zipang Hard Drives Twin 1Tb Barracuda archivage, Twin TV/PVR 2Tb Samsungs, (80Gb Barracuda for the OS, but SSD envisaged...) So I need to buy a PS2 Keyboard?
I can borrow one from work maybe... best ask before I take :-)
Any other possibles? I did rest the Bios last week if I remember correct. So the PS2 must be the standard setting then? School boy error....
Any other way to access without the need to get a PS2 Keyboard?
Maybe running CMD....? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom build - AMD Llano Socket FM1 OS 64 bit - Windows 7 Ultimate CPU AMD A6-3650 APU with Radeon(tm), 2600 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logi Motherboard ASRock - A75M Memory DDR3 8GB - DRAM Frequency 665.5MHz - Team-Elite 1333 Graphics Card On board - AMD Radeon 6530D - Memory 256MBytes Sound Card Realtek Digital Output on board - Using AMD HDMI Output Monitor(s) Displays 40 inch TV Screen Resolution 1080p@60Hz Keyboard USB - Wired Mouse USB - Wired PSU 500w - Come with the Tower Case Tower - Olympix - FC-OL01A Cooling 3 cheap Fans inside the tower Hard Drives 2 TB - ST2000DL003-9VT166 ATA Device Internet Speed 802.11g Other Info I build this computer Sept 2011 from all new parts brought from a computer fair. First, did you unplug and replug in your keyboard?
You can try a nutty solution. Turn on your pc. While booting, unplug it. Next time your turn it on, it might say your Windows session did not end correctly at the safe mode screen. Not optimal solution, but an idea.
I still would try a new keyboard. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell and Custom OS Systems 1 and 2: Windows 7 Enterprise x64, Win 8 Developer CPU System 1: i7 2600@3.4GHz, System 2: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6G Motherboard System 1:Dell 06NWYK System 2: ASUS M5A97 AM3+ Memory System 1: 8GB System 2: 8GB Graphics Card System 1: ATI FirePro V4800 System 2: Radeon HD 6850 Sound Card System 1: onboard System 2: onboard Monitor(s) Displays System1: Viewsonic HDMI 24" Screen Resolution System 1: 1920x1080 System 2: 1920x1080 Case System 1: Dell System 2: Cooler Master Hard Drives System 1: Mirrored .5B drives System 2: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internet Speed 10 MBPS |

Okay, I've got it. Type msconfig, and select boot tab. Check the safe mode box. Reboot.
