I have a 120HZ monitor, need help with the correct cable

So I first bought a HDMI cable (TV not working with HDMI cable).
Apparently the HDMI cable doesn't support more than 60HZ, so I googled around and apparently I need a dual DVI cable to support the 120HZ I can reach.
Now can I see, the difference between 60HZ and 120HZ? And can I dual monitor with one 120HZ monitor and the second one being 60HZ

Thanks for your help
