    Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN wireless adapter not recognized

    I have a Gateway FX series 17" laptop and yesterday when I got home from university and took the computer out of my bag to start working, the wireless card just didnt exist, no networks were recognized and when i tried to troubleshoot it told me that no device was connected. Wired internet works just fine. And the wireless card appears in the device manager.

    methods i have tried to no avail:
    -turning the wireless switch on and off
    -uninstalling the device and rebooting
    -updating drivers
    -manually downloading driver from Intel's website
    -insulting the device's mother

    I'm suspecting this might be a hardware issue but if anyone has some advice that would be great. For the time being I am just using a wired connection but I'm going to need the wireless when I'm. back in class

    ,Thanks guys

    Please run an ipconfig /all , snip and upload the output so we can check. ALso please upload the event viewer logs

    Start>cmd>right click and run as admin>ipconfig /all

    Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:
    {Instructions courtesy of writhziden}
