Mouse prevents screensaver from working

Hello
I got Win 7 Ult x64 on a laptop (Lenovo B575). Screensaver doesnt work (well, it does, but only in preview mode) and monitor wont shut down in specified time. After some googling I've found out that the mouse (A4Tech X6-60MD) is the problem. When I unplug it, both screensaver and power saving start working. So, how can I solve this issue? I'd rather not buy a new mouse, this one is fine except it interferes with screensaver/power saving. I read that there is some "HID filter input" update, but I cant find it, and it seems to be for wireless devices anyway. A4 only has drivers for <= Vista.
Thanks in advance.
