| | Canon f913800 scanner Windows 7 x64 professional I have an old Canon F913800 CanoScan scanner. It does not work with Windows 7, but I need it, and I can't use Windows XP mode (my Pc crashes if I try to install it.) The scanner says "LIDE' on the front. I tried it on an old Mac iBook on Mac OS 9 and it works purposely. So is there a universal scanner driver or software to let me use this? |

| | The model number is really FB630U. The scanner is supported by Vuescan: VueScan Scanner Software for Windows 7, Mac OS X Lion, Linux, iPhone, iPad, iPod It's not inexpensive, but you can download a trial version to see if it works for you. |

| | Is there any free software to do this? Payware software is not my thing - usually, my paid software goes to the extent of cheap apps or games on a disc - even then, I rarely buy software. I've only downloaded PC payware software off of the Internet once. |
