Xeon E3-1200/2nd Generation listed with an i7 2600k?

    Hey guys

It's been a while since I've been on here but I have a bit of an issue.
It might be noting but I'd like to get it checked out.

I used one of those "driver update" programs that scan your hardware and then gives you back your out of date drivers.
Since updating an Intel driver I've now got an "Xeon E3-1200/2nd Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) Processor Family PCI Express Root Port - 0101" listed which I don't think was there before.
Problem is I have an I7 2600k so why would it be showing as another CPU model?

I've tried removing the device and hoping Windows will pick it up again but it still came back as a Xeon.
Has anyone else got an i7 but in the "System Devices" menu in "Device Manager" got this listed?

    Thank you in advance

That's the problem with those 3rd party driver updaters, they tell you what they want and if you don't know you get stung. My advice is get the drivers from the manufacturer, that way you get the right one's for your comp. Now for the fix if you have a restore point prior to doing the updateing of drivers do it now, if you have a backup image you can use that, when all else fails backup your data and do a clean install or use the factory image on your computer.
