Solved 4 g of ram but 3.90 usable ?

I have 4 g of ram and windows 7 64 bit but it only using 3.9 ?
I installed the driver of the nvidia too
can any one advice me plz :)

shared between what ?

Video cards have two kinds of memory (dedicated (built onto the card) and shared where it uses some of the system memory to increase it capabilities,

Again 0.1 gig isnt worth the trouble'

It doesn't matter. The HD3000 is present and runs until the system determines it needs more horsepower, then your dedicated graphics kick in.

I was under the impression on these dual graphics laptops that you couldn't disable the Intel portion. There'd be little reason to do so, as it is meant to save you on battery power usage and likely heat.

We have got quite the epic thread going over in Graphics where a group of laptop owners are working on finding a way to do just that (manually switch the graphics) and no one has found a satisfying way yet.

It seems that IF the manufacturer designs in and makes the option available at the BIOS level then it can be done (manually choose which graphics chip to use), but if the manufacturer does not design in the option then you are SOOL.

People are looking for a software solution (drivers that allow manual switching) but that has only been reported as successful for a few, and a solution that works for one may not work for others. It is a real problem for gamers that screams for a solution, but I am sure that for the vast majority of laptop users they are blissfully unaware that the problem even exists.

Very true for many aspects of the computers...especially OEM ones.

The question I would ask is why? Let's say I'm browsing the forums or working on a spreadsheet. Is an add-in card going to do something that the Intel graphics can't? I wouldn't think so.

But when you are dealing with us OCD types, not having complete control drives us CRAZY!

Yes, I can imagine the frustration.

I wish laptop makers would give buyers the option of a full functioning BIOS instead of a dumbed down version. One for the everyday user and one for advanced/power users.
