well i just double checked and according to what i found a computer must have at least 2 gigs of ram, blu-ray software a monitor that has 1080p and an advanced graphics card which the op's computer has intergrated graphics on the mother board and a crt monitor will not display 1080p.
also on the op's computer specs it shows he is using 248gigs of memory and has 333gigs of memory free!! what kind of super computer is that? there is no personal computer out there with 581gigs of memory. so someone needs to update their computer specs. his exact list shows 248GB used 333GB free!! ??? i just googled his gateway desktop and it comes with 6GB of ram with a max of 8GB. | My System Specs |

It is due to DRM and so the program wants an HDCP compliant display. I knew it! The idea of my computer not playing Blu-rays didn't make sense. Sure, it has an installed DVD Player, but why have a BD-ROM Drive listed?
Anyway, I'am going to get an HD Monitor, as it was part of the plan, but I wanted to get it later instead of getting...everything at once, y'know.
And the pic above with the monitor; that is my monitor, and it is old. Which explains this problem, right?

this disables DRM and HDCP so it should play after you run this program. it is a trial so you can test it out. Under the "Download" page, it is the one titled "AnyDVD & AnyDVD HD " that I'm suppose to dl, right? Ya, Any DVD and ANY DVD HD is the one. I guess both are incorporated into one package. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HAL-9000 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit CPU Intel i7 3770K Motherboard Asus Sabertooth Z77 Memory 16GB DDR3 1333 Corsair XMS3 Graphics Card XFX HD6950 2GB EyeFinity Sound Card Logitech G35 & Sennheiser PC135 & VIA HD Monitor(s) Displays 23" HP 2310e, 23" Samsung B2230, 21.5" Viewsonic Screen Resolution 5760x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 and G13 Mouse Logitech G700 Gaming Mouse PSU Antec True Power New 650watt Case Cooler Master HAF-932 Cooling Corsair H60 Hydro Cooler, 3x 230mm Fans, 2x120mm Fan Hard Drives 16TB of Storage

His machine is fine, his integrated graphics support Bluray. And you don't "need" a 1080P display. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HAL-9000 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit CPU Intel i7 3770K Motherboard Asus Sabertooth Z77 Memory 16GB DDR3 1333 Corsair XMS3 Graphics Card XFX HD6950 2GB EyeFinity Sound Card Logitech G35 & Sennheiser PC135 & VIA HD Monitor(s) Displays 23" HP 2310e, 23" Samsung B2230, 21.5" Viewsonic Screen Resolution 5760x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 and G13 Mouse Logitech G700 Gaming Mouse PSU Antec True Power New 650watt Case Cooler Master HAF-932 Cooling Corsair H60 Hydro Cooler, 3x 230mm Fans, 2x120mm Fan Hard Drives 16TB of Storage

That would be because I use to refer to memory and space as the same thing. I still do. Sorry for the confusion. Quote: His machine is fine, his integrated graphics support Bluray. i think the "1080P" may be adding confusion...
you do need an HD compliant monitor as Zepher said in post #7 - it could be 1080P, 1080I, 720....

Well, guys: I dl-ed AnyDVD, and once it was installed and I rebooted, I pop the drive back in, and then a disc, and...It Played!
I finally got the thing working. I'm still in confusion, though; is it because of the AnyDVD I installed? If so, does that mean I have to bring it up again and again anytime I connect the drive again, or did it just "fix" something to make it play? Also, as of this writing, I have 21 days on this (AnyDVD), so what happens once its up; does it not do its thing? I'm happy that it works, but I'm still confused.
P.S. I should mention that when CyberLink is brought up, my computer changes to Windows 7 Basic color scheme, and back to normal once it closed. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Gateway SX2802-07 OS Windows 7 CPU Intel Pentium E5300 Motherboard WG43M Graphics Card Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Acer S232HL Keyboard Standard PS/2 Mouse HID-Compliant |

21 days of trial and then it will no longer work; by default AnyDVDHD will load with Windows and be running in the background at the driver level.
You try the program PassKeyBD from DVDFab which also runs in the background. Myself I have both programs and AnyDVDHD is the one to invest in as far as I am concerned.
Once you have AnyDVDHD paid for and on board you can use a free video player from VSO software to play your BD discs. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number My Build OS win7 Ult 64 CPU i7 3930K & 3960X Motherboard ASUS P9X79 Deluxe Memory 16GB G-Skill 2133MHz Graphics Card Sapphire HD 7970 Sound Card On-board Monitor(s) Displays ASUS 27 inch Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Mionix Mouse Mionix PSU Corsair AX1200 Case NZXT 810 Cooling Custom Loop, Swiftech HDBlock Hard Drives Crucial M4 256GB, 1.5TB WD Black for Data/Images Internet Speed Cable |
