Which windows service activates my printer/scanner machine?

    Hello friends,

    I have a problem with windows 7 and my multi-machine Kyocera FS1118-MFP.
While my machine is in standby mode (low power), every about 5 minutes, something turns on my machine.
I did a test and I disable all services from the OS. My machine didn't turned on again. Of course, I could not stay with all services off, so I brought my computer to the previous stage with services on.
Can anybody tell me, which windows service activates my printer/scanner machine every 5 minutes?
Exept that it's not good for energy save, it also be very noisy to hear again and again this sound of activation.
    With my best regards,
    Stavros

Hello spalat and welcome to Seven Forums. My usual disclaimer: I'm not an expert at anything. :)

I think either Printer Control Service or Print Spooler Service is what you're looking for. (Group Edit may only show one of them.) I'd try changing the setting from automatic to manual. Let us know if it works.
