AMD A6 2.3/1.4 vs AMD Phenom 1.7
Ok, so I am looking at getting a new laptop and I really don't understand all the specs.
One is: 2.3GHz/1.4GHz VISION A6 Technology from AMD with AMD Quad-Core A6-3400M Accelerated Processor & AMD Radeon HD 6520G Discrete-Class Graphics
The other is: 1.70GHz VISION Technology from AMD - Ultimate with AMD Phenom II Quad-Core Mobile Processor P940 & 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5650 switchable graphics [HDMI, VGA]
The rest of the specs are virtually the same for both computers. Both have 6GB RAM.
The last time I bought a computer, Pentium 4 was king and these specs hardly make sense to me.
For the first one, why are there two speeds? Is a combination of 2.3/1.4 better than just 1.7. Is A6 better than Phenom II? Why doesn't the first one list a graphics memory, like 1 GB for the second one?
If anyone could kindly explain this to me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
