Half of ram usable, and low transfer speeds since upgrading

    Updated drivers, and the ram wasn't fixed. Went ahead and reseated it, and hoped , since the thermal paste was just like new, it would work fine. The ram is showing up as 12GB now, and prime 95 temps are about where they were before too. (looks like its getting 1 degree hotter)

    I still, however, have ludicrously slow transfer speeds to my usb and sd card...

I bought a Vostro 430 around two and a half years ago, and about a week ago, I got this weird message in My Computer Properties - Installed memory (RAM): 6.oo GB (3.96 GB usable). Does that mean that out of my 3 RAM Sticks, only 2 of them are working? And if so/if not, will this affect my computer...
