I had the same issue with my Sabertooth; the RAM I'm using sold as 1866MHz as well, but was downclocked by the mobo. Had to manually set the RAM timings and everything worked fine after.
Did you do that already? (Just make sure you set the right ones, it might be confusing if you never did it before, there can be a lot of timings available to change) | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Mine OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU AMD FX-8150 Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Memory Corsair Vengeance Dual-Channel 1866MHz 8GB (2x4GB) Graphics Card x2 Galaxy GeForce GTX 560 2GB in SLI Sound Card (Onboard) Realtek ALC892 Monitor(s) Displays Dynex 42 inch HDTV Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech Wireless Solar K750 Mouse Logitech Wireless M305 PSU Kingwin KX-1000 Case Corsair Carbide 500R Cooling Corsair H100 Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 2TB (SATA);

i did set the timings and it seems to be running fine, i just dont understand why there wouldnt be an auto option to set to 1866.
i havent had any BSOD, so thats not an issue, just trying to figure out why it wouldnt register correctly but the board says it supports it | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number love-amd...also love-nvidia OS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II x6 1075t 3.0 OC'd to 3.85 Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ SATA III Memory 8GB G.Skill Sniper 1866 9-10-9-28 1.5v Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Sound Card HD on board Audio Monitor(s) Displays LG FLATRON E2260, Vizio 47 inch LCD 1080p Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft Sidewinder X4 Mouse CM Storm Spawn 3500 DPI PSU OCZ Fatal1ty 550w Case Cooler Master CM II Advanced Nvidia Edition Cooling Corsair H70 Hydro Cooling Hard Drives Crucial CT64M4 SSD

hey and another question, i assume you hook your PC up via HDMI to your TV, did you get any stuttering when playing 1080 content through VLC? i for the life of me cannot figure out why its doing that | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number love-amd...also love-nvidia OS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II x6 1075t 3.0 OC'd to 3.85 Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ SATA III Memory 8GB G.Skill Sniper 1866 9-10-9-28 1.5v Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Sound Card HD on board Audio Monitor(s) Displays LG FLATRON E2260, Vizio 47 inch LCD 1080p Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Microsoft Sidewinder X4 Mouse CM Storm Spawn 3500 DPI PSU OCZ Fatal1ty 550w Case Cooler Master CM II Advanced Nvidia Edition Cooling Corsair H70 Hydro Cooling Hard Drives Crucial CT64M4 SSD

Yeah my BIOS had some automatic setting for 1866, but it didn't take. I'll blame it on techno leprechauns.
No stuttering anywhere. I don't have 120Hz, could be something with its interpolation of the frames. Read the tv manual?
Oh yeah, I forgot, there is a BIOS update that I installed. 0901, get it here.
About the 1866MHz, are you sure you're looking in the right spot, I forgot where it was but it's definately there. Hold on I'll reboot and check it out. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Mine OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU AMD FX-8150 Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Memory Corsair Vengeance Dual-Channel 1866MHz 8GB (2x4GB) Graphics Card x2 Galaxy GeForce GTX 560 2GB in SLI Sound Card (Onboard) Realtek ALC892 Monitor(s) Displays Dynex 42 inch HDTV Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech Wireless Solar K750 Mouse Logitech Wireless M305 PSU Kingwin KX-1000 Case Corsair Carbide 500R Cooling Corsair H100 Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 2TB (SATA);

Go into your BIOS and change to "Advanced Mode", then select the "Ai Tweaker" tab, then scroll down until you find "Memory Frequency" (maybe the 7th one down), and click on "Auto". It should give you a drop down list of choices, one being 1866MHz, unless you've been overclocking, then they might've changed given the bus speed of your NB and your multiplier, I believe. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Mine OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 CPU AMD FX-8150 Motherboard ASUS Sabertooth 990FX Memory Corsair Vengeance Dual-Channel 1866MHz 8GB (2x4GB) Graphics Card x2 Galaxy GeForce GTX 560 2GB in SLI Sound Card (Onboard) Realtek ALC892 Monitor(s) Displays Dynex 42 inch HDTV Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech Wireless Solar K750 Mouse Logitech Wireless M305 PSU Kingwin KX-1000 Case Corsair Carbide 500R Cooling Corsair H100 Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 2TB (SATA);

Timings do have to be set manually but won't effect the speed. You will need to set your CPU mode to manual and the set your CPU frequency to at least 233 which will get your RAM to 1866MHz or real close. This will also overclock your CPU so you will need to lower the multiplier if you don't want that. Make sure your DRAM options are all manual to allow you to set the RAM volts to 1.5V. You may need to set the CPU NB to 1.4 and add about .1 or .2 to the NB. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built Desktop By DataTech OS Windows 7 Ultimate X64 SP1 CPU Intel i5-2550K, Differing ~4.4-4.8GHz No built in GPU Motherboard ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 Memory 16GB G.Skill Sniper 2133MHz 4x4GB Graphics Card ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU/2DI/1GD5 GeForce GTX 460 Sound Card Onboard Realtek 5-1 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung P2570HD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Old, beat-up Dell USB From 10 yrs Ago Mouse Gigabyte m6900 wired PSU Corsair HX650W Case Inwin Dragon Rider Cooling Hyper 212 EVO w/two Noctua fans, push-pull, @1300 RPM Hard Drives Crucial M4 128GB for OS, 750GB Seagate MomentusXT for data, 500GB Seagate Constellation for storage Internet Speed 8-19 Mbs down, 3-4 Mbs up Comcast Cable Antivirus Norton Internet Security Browser IE 9, Opera when needed Other Info 4 case fans, LG BluRay-RE, ASUS DVD-RW, Mr. Fusion power generator with flux capacitor, 1.21 gigawatts.
