    Power Supply Suggestions

    Hello everyone :)
I've spent allot of time searching for the right power supply, and I just wanted to post a thread here in case any of you wanted to share.
Ideal PSU: 700-750 Watt Moduler 80-Plus Gold/Platinum reliable, silent and efficient power supply for my computer (Check my spec's!). If not, somewhere around that area.
Another thing I wanted to ask, is the XFX ProSeries going to be branching out to 700-750W soon? Apart from it's great performance, I'm interested in the Hybrid Fan feature.
Looking forward to the suggestions! :)

Check out Seasonic. They design and manufacturer their own and supply PSU for other big vendors. Can't get any better.

    Welcome to Seasonic USA

Check this site for who makes what.

Looks like Seasonic makes XFX power supplies.

Thanks for the info. They're pretty expensive, but I guess you have to pay more for the best.
What's the difference between the X-760 and the X-750 (Apart from the wattage)?

So there isn't really any benefit in the X-760?

As mentioned earlier by Phone Man, I read in a review somewhere seasonic makes XFX psus. I just got a 1000 watt silver certified fully modular PSU XFX pro series. It is nice, however I wished the sockets would have been better grouped/labeled.---although most items plug in just to its proper place, as not having done a build for a while, and it being my first fully modular, it caused some momentary (or longer-ha) disconcertation.

The Seasonic X series X650 Gold power supply is on sale at New Egg for $99.99 through March 19, with free shipping.

Promo code EMCNGJG93. Otherwise it is $139.99.

I think you have to be a subscriber to New Egg's email list to be able to use the promo code, but that is easily done.

Cheapest I found a Seasonic X-760 was £129.55 ($203 [using Google shopping]) which is almost £20 ($31) more than a Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 700W. I'd say it's fair, and Cooler Master was my choice for a while before I found Seasonic.
