| | Do you have any important data on the other drive to backup before formatting it? If not, then you should be able to format it and use it as a secondary drive. Make sure you have the jumper on it set to slave and the jumper on your new drive set to master (if necessary).  |

| | It's a partitioned drive and I used one empty part that i installed the OS on temporary until my new drive came. Now it's here I'll format that partition. There Sata drives do they still have jumper settings as i have no jumper caps? |

| | Nothing to worry about with the jumpers if they are SATA. That is why I included the (if necessary) in my post.  |
