Iphone not detected in iTunes on win 7 x64

My iPhone 3gs will appear in iTunes and sync after reloading all Apple Software for two or three connections, then iTunes no longer initializes when the iPhone is connected.

If I deinstall all Apple Software and reinstall all the software, iPhone will work normally two or three times then becomes a ghost once again, Windows 7 PRO 64 does detect it as an iPhone and can access pictures ect, but iTunes does not detect or respond in any way. I have requested help on the Apple Community but got no response hopefully the Windows Community will be more polite

Go to device manager, and uninstall ANYTHING related to apple. Make sure your iphone is unplugged while ur doing it. Then, restart and plug it back in.

Just a thought - do you need a Bluetooth adapter or dongle for your computer to detect your phone?

I have had a similar problem but was able to resolve it instead of removing iTunes and it components from "add and remove" I use the repair instead.
