    restart cycle? new hardware.

I just got my new ram and new motherboard today and installed them. Motherboard is AsRock 880GM-LE FX and GeIL 8GB GP38GB1333C9DC. So I start my PC and it goes to the black screen where the color orbs colide and it just says starting windows for about 5sec then restarts it does this continually. It also does it with the repair disc 64-bit,startup repair, last known good configuration. I have no idea what to do please help.

Could you try re-installing the OS? Try unplugging and plug back in the wires in the motherboard

Welcome to Seven Forums Cindylo. Power off, remove all but one stick of RAM and disconnect all drive, we are seeing if you can enter BIOS and load default settings. If so, reconnect it all but leave only one RAM stick in and see if the boot will finish.

Sometimes a fresh install is needed when you change a motherboard though. Try tapping F8 during start up and get to Advanced options and try this first: Repair Install

Another thing to do after a new board install is to triple-check all of the power and data cables, make sure they are all connected right and fully seated. Remove and reseat the RAM too.
