D-link rangebooster n 650 desktop adapter not recognized by PC/Win7

A friend of mine gave me a D-Link Rangebooster N 650 and when i got home and i plugged it into my PCI port, nothing happened. No LED from the card itself, no notification from Windows, nothing. I tried another PCI port but nothing worked. What should i do?
