BOTH my Usb hdd's have stopped working on windows 7

HI.

I can use a usb pendrive, or a memory card reader in my usb.

But both of my protable usb hard drives are not showing when plugged in.

I have tried a usb 'Y' cable.
but no good.

Both drives work on my netbook..
But not on my windows 7 pc.

Please advise.

Thanks

Where they working before in your windows 7 environment? Some of the older usb HDD are OS specific and bit specific (32 bit or 64 bit). Check with your USB HDD manufacturers specs to verify.

Some times with a clean re-install, there are glitches from over writing or not over written correctly....it's happened to all of us at some point. Generally a re-install will fix that...I know it's not what you want to here.
