AMD FX4100 or AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition

As the title says I plan on upgrading to the new AMD FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor FD4100WMGUSBX and would like to know if this new Processor is better or just as good as I got now. Also what's the difference between the 2. I'm new to the FX series CPU's
I have this CPU now AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb (OC 3.7GHz) Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ955FBGMBOX.
    Thanks guys

stay with the phenom ii x4 955, the fx-4100 is less powerful

here take a look at these cpu gaming benchmarks you will see the difference and that it is a downgrade

I need to get a new CPU where the one I have now is starting to show it's age where it has been OC to 3.7GHz ever since I had it so it's starting to run slower then it did when I first got it.

I've looked around, but don't see anything much better than the one you already have.

Some have 6 core, 8 core but there isn't software available to fully support multi-threading on 6 and 8 cores, yet.

So, the 4 core is just as good.

    That's my two cents worth.

yeah pretty much what you had is pretty good and I can't seem to find much expect that the amd fx-8150 seems to beat the phenom ii x4 955 but not by much and and some benches loses to it but beats it in other test. So if you want something a tad better or about the same as that phenom ii 955 then get a fx-8150 but I find it odd that it's a 8 core and performs about the same as a 4 core phenom ii 955 . Choice is yours mate, personally i would just go with the phenom ii 955 which is cheaper and gives about the same performance. Amazed how amd messed this one up with the fx series.
