    4GB memory Ram installed useable 3.80GB why?


    Hello forum member I switch from windows 7 to windows 8 64bit attached are the files contains all info but I cant be able to use full memory ram option when I checked the option maximum but it took my memory ram to 256MB.

    Please help

    The rest is probably being used by shared video memory. It is such a tiny amount I wouldnt worry about it.

    First since it is a win 8 issue it should be asked at our sister site, eightforums.com

    Second if the difference is only 256 Mb it is so tiny as to be statistically inconsequential.

    There is probably a different video driver on win 8 than there is on win 7.
