Hard Drive "disappears "

Hi
So earlier today i started the installation to Windows 7 Ultimate and when i got to the part where you select a given drive on which to install the system it doesn't show up!
And then afterwards i actually had to open up my computer and re-attach the cable for my hdd to get it to even show up again in BIOS. So if someone could help me with this problem I would be VERY THANKFULL !!

Please fill out your system specs in your profile area...this will help up diagnose your issues. My first thought would be a loose wire connection of the hard drive. Either the IDE/SATA cable or power cable.
