External HHD won't be installed on any computer please help?

I have tried a few things but it didn't solve the problem of my external HHD being detected. I says failed to install.

What can i do to make the drive usable?

We're going to need more info than you've given so far. You say the drive isn't detected at all....does that mean it doesn't show up in Disk Management or Device Manager? What type of connection is it? Is the drive poering up and spinning?

Does said drive have an external power pack or does it get all its power from the USB connection? Does it have more than one USB connector on its cable? If yes did you use both connectors? Usually if there are two, one is data and power and the other is power only.

Is this drive in an enclosure? How are you connecting it to the PC? If its not in an enclosure you will also have to supply power to the drive somehow. That picture looks like an ordinary hard drive that would be mounted and connected internally.
