    Unformat a Drive ?


    Anyone know how to un-format a drive as if it's brand new ? No Data is on the drive.

    Why do you want to?
    To make the HDD space unallocated again ?

    If you just want to create unallocated space and aren't worried about any data that may be on the drive you can just delete any partitions on it via disk management.

    If you want to thoroughly wipe the drive this tutorial explains how to do it using Diskpart.
