Cannot access any optical drives

    Create a Backup of your registry.

    And, if you see any that have a .bak as an extension, it is your option, you can either leave them or delete.
    Remember to reboot.

    If you leave them, then go back, and delete them also.
    Remember to reboot.

    Go back to Device Manager, and see if you have any warnings...

    See if you can access your Drives.

    I had this problem before in a laptop, Cyclic suggestion should do the job. I remember modifying upper and lower filters inside the registry
