Windows 7: H.P. Color Laserjet 2550L printing

not sure if this is the right place for this, but I am new here. we bought a lenovo Thinkstation S20 and we have a Color Laserjet 2550L, when printng from word or excel it prints right away, when printing from a pdf file, it takes for ever, the computer defaults to a 2550 PS Printer, we tried installing the 2550L but it keeps defaulting to the 2550 PS. we have the disc. for the 2550L, but it does not have the option of the windows 7 O/S. help my Boss is going crazy.

yes, I tried but it never would load the driver completely, the computer defualts back to a printer that is in the option window to choose from, the 2550L is not in the printer option box

I have an HP PHOTOSMART C 4783 and when i visit the HP support center it dosn't show my printer but HP POHOTOSMART C4700 SERIES that means those drivers works for the whole printers in this category.
If you still have the CD that came with your printer, Uninstall the printers programs from your OS then use the CD to reinstall, make the updates and then go to the second link mentioned in my previous poste and use it.

on the cd, ther is not a option for windows 7, what option would I use?

For the Color Laserjet 2550 series, select Color Lasejet 2700 from the list and install that driver. This should work for 2550n printer.
