My optical drive doesn't read DISC

Hi guys, there is some seriously issue with my optical drive. When i put in any DVD inside it just have a sound "like the DISC is running" for 3 times and it stopped. I tried a lot of different disc. It doesn't read the Disc at all...

So is it my hardware problem?? ARG...

It sounds like a hardware issue. You could try to put it in another computer as a test, or look for updated firmware.

If the above didn't help, uninstall dvd drive in Device Manager then reboot.

In case all of the above does not work then optical drive may have given up the ghost and packed up. In that case it may have to be replaced.

From the OP thread starting post I had inferred that it was showing in the Laptop.

no mention of that in first post
, it may be that has been overlooked,
(perhaps as it was showing in device manager then it is showing in " computer")
possibly the OP could confirm that the cd/dvd drive is indeed showing to rule out that issue.
