Strange problem... Small page size in everything from Firefox to Skype

Hi everyone,
I'm having this very strange problem on my PC which i recently formated to start from scratch.
I'm running Windows 7 64bit and everytime I open a page in a browser (IE, Firefox or Chrome) the actual page appears very small in the top left hand corner of the window...
I'm also having this problem when using Skype.
I get the feeling this may have something to do with my resolution....?
I never used to have this problem before formatting.
Thanks for any possible answers, this is really an annoying problem as it prevents me from using any web based software.

Can you post a screen shot of exactly what you are seeing - do you mean the image only fills part of the window ?
