Syncing two computers to work together

I have two pc's. Both run windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.
    PC 1:
    Cyberpower
    i5 quad-core processor (3.60ghz)
    8 gig ram
    AMD 6670 HD graphics

    PC2:
    Dell XPS 8300
    i7 quad core (3.4ghz)
    AMD 6870 Hd Graphics
    16 gig ram

I want to sync them both (at the motherboard/cpu level) to make them work together, is there any way to do achieve this, with these machines? (And im not referring to just file sync, i mean having the clock, cpu, motherboard, memory, on both computers working together as if it were one machine.)

Thanks. Didn't know if it was possible with different cpu/chipsets/motherboards.

It is possible, but not with Windows 7. What you want is achieved only with high end enterprise server software for unique tasks. There's no reason a desktop user would need to do anything like that.

I knew it was possible depending on the machine and OS type. Ive had friends who have done it, just don't remember what they had done. and the reason I was doing it was actually for my side job as a specialist in defensive techniques, primarily penetration testing, and password decryption, through the use of Backtrack. Secondary use was for gaming, mostly running Skyrim with ultra settings, and some high res content texture upgrades.

Are you perhaps thinking along the lines of distributed computing?
