RAM consume in Windows 7
I have 12GB of RAM, and with no applications running, it consumes 1.47gb from the very beginning? Does anybody have an idea of why so much? Thanks,

My guess would be the normal windows services, background task and other things alike. But still if my math is close to correct that's only 12% of your ram being used I wouldn't worry about it. Its normal for windows to take some ram on boot and hide it like this for its own task. on my system with 4 gigs windows takes 700meg again its only 17% of my memory nothing to sweat about. Im sure Zig or Doc will be by soon to explain more in deeper detail.
Hi gusgestal and welcome to the SevenForums.
First, be happy. Your Windows is using only a fraction of the installed memory. If you are interested to see what's eating RAM up, open Task Manager, click Processes tab and click Show processes from all users.
Secondly, you are a new member and not yet so familiar with the forum rules and guidelines. It is not good all you three posts are the same, spread over three threads.
When you have an issue, check first if there already is a thread about that. The SevenForums has a good and working search system, which you can fine tune to find specific posts and threads by clicking Advanced Search.
If you do not find the solution to your issue, start a new topic. Try to find the essence of your issue to give a good explanation already in the subject line. It helps us other members to find it and maybe give you a solution or at least suggestions.
