Problem opening RAM by mobile and Win 7

Hi,

I have a nokia 6220 classic and i had a 4GB Ram on it which worked perfectly well and without any problems on my mobile phone and computer (to add files and music to it and listen on the phone) . But i needed to repair my mobile so i took out the RAM and gave the mobile to repair for almost two weeks (during this period the RAM was totally unused).

After the two weeks i put back the RAM only to notice that my mobile phone is asking me for "RAM password" and without the password i have no access to the files on my ram via my cell phone. As puzzled as you may imagine me, i decided to check the RAM on my windows 7 (64 bit) but to my surprise even windows Seven couldnt find it on "my computer" let alone open it!

I then used the devices and printers window to see that it has recognized my RAM there, but, it says it needs trouble shooting. I put it for trouble shoot and after waiting a couple of minutes windows said it could not fix the problem!

Any attempt to gain access to the RAM fails (or it just takes to long and i bring out the ram myself) and when i even try to right click on the driver it takes one heck of a time to bring the right click options.

Even more surprising is that the pc has recognized many new virtual drives even though there is only one and it is NOT partitioned!

Whats wrong and what can i do?!
- i have so many files i dont wanna lose on it!

Thankyou

Are you talking about a flash memory card? If so, that's very different than RAM.

It sounds like something happened to the flash memory card, possibly a SD micro card, when it was out of your phone. Was it stored safely and properly? It sounds like you have a card reader in your computer. You may need to run a recovery program on it. You can also connect it to your computer, and if it is detected, check in Disk Management to see if it is recognized.

All your guesses are right and im sorry for the mistake. Yes its a Micro SD flash card but for some reason people here call it RAM which is the reason for my mistake.

It was recognized in disk management and i troubleshooted it there but i got nothing.

How do i "run a recovery program" on it?

Thankyou

PS to moderator: Please correct the topic's name from RAM to Flash memory. Thankyou

You would download and install somehting like Recuva and run that. You point the software to the memory card and let it run.

Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download
