Windows 7 doesn't accept my Keyboard, HURRAY.

You know the drill guy joins so he can make 2 or 3 messages on the board then leaves forever. Now you don't scold me, I've installed Window's 7 release candidate and when i try to imput the product key the blasted thing wont allow me, I've been told the PC is from an age that doesn't like USB keyboards but only has USB ports.
I think this is **** and I'd like an opinion from people with brains, so here I am, The internet, The toilet of humanity.
I installed 7 RC, I try to type in, Keyboard wont be recognised. Wont turn off, Forced turn off [Hold button for 5 seconds], Turn on, can press ENTER for "Start Windows normaly", Keyboard doesn't work. I've been informed Its to do with Drivers and Bios and Bears [oh my] BUT I'd like NOT to belive that and try my chances with you guys.
Help me Please. I don't mean to be rude.

Try using the turd key to type in your pissword.

If that fails, you could complete your system specs under User CP. That way, we can tell if you are in the Ladies Room or the Mens room. Knowing that, someone might be able to lift the seat for you.

It helps to know what the equipment is when dealing with an equipment problem.

You could have just put it blunt, now you look like your trying to prove somthing.
I have a Dell dimension C521 Desktop, Dell Keyboard, and Dell Mouse.
It may be useful to point out my mouse doesn't work either.

So, if you boot your computer, you can press Del or F2 (whatever the sequence is on your machine) and you can get into the BIOS and the keyboard works there? If this is the case, it really should be working during the Windows installer as well.

1. I say "I don't mean to be rude" for a reason, mind you.
2. Thankyou for an actual response, I have already installed it, I just need to input the Product Key. I'm not quite sure what you mean. Yes it does work in those zones where ou can press F2 to mess with stuff behind software.

NINJA EDIT: I dont have a "Dell" Key On my Keyboard.

I suggest going to support.dell.com and inputting your service tag and see if there is a BIOS update for your C521.

Ditto on the BIOS. The odd thing is - the keyboard/mouse must be working prior to the key screen.

1. Forgive me if I'm aangry but i think my computer should beable to use A basic human interface device like a Keyboard.
2. I don't know my COMPLETE system specs, I'm not that hardcore a Computer Enthusiast.
2.How would I install it, if said bios needed upgrading?
4. I GET IT! Sorry about the Dell =/= Del key, missread.
