Asus P8Z68 V Pro Gen 3 Motherboard - SATA Question

I recently had my motherboard die on me and have had this installed in it's place.

My case has 4 hot-swap drive bays in the front underneath the 5.2" bays. One of the SATA slots won't recognise any of my hard disks. I've checked the hard disks they work in the other SATA slots so I thought I had either a broken slot or loose cable.

However I noticed in the manual that in the BIOS it says the following in the SATA controls:

"Set to [Enhanced] to support two SATA 6.0 and two SATA 3.0 devices.

Note "Enhanced" will only appear when you set the previous item to IDE"

Do you think this might have something to do with why it won't show up?
