    Zepher,
The lifetime warranty was with my PSU which is an Ultra X4 1050. Sorry I didn't make that very clear. I saw that and jumped on it with all of their products. So far only a internal fan controller/card reader has failed and needed free replacement......I'm currently knocking on wood ! lol

Ok, the 7 year was on the PSU you linked above, which I thought was the one you had.
I see the one you have is 3 years then Lifetime when you register.

btw, the Ultra X4 1050 is $220 at TigerDirect, if the op is willing to spend that much on a PSU, might as well get the Ultra with Lifetime warranty.

I think you'll find the difference in prices from a quality 600-750 vs a 850-1050 to be in the 45-80 range for me it's a no brainer as the dynamic headroom of the higher wattage allows for markedly lower operating temps and stability in heat and high power draws while gaming. But there will be many that would and could dispute this. In the end it's my knowledge of audio amplifiers and headroom that has brought me to this conclusion. All this being said I'm sure what ever wattage between 650-1050 you opt for will give good service and work well.

Heat and age will cause it to fail. They aren't designed to last forever.

The quality brands all use Japanese caps and are built with heavy heat sinks and good ventilation. They will have a much greater life span !

guys! i finally tested with another PS.and im writing from my own computer..that was indeed the ps problem..thank you guys TVeblen and FaberTech..u helped me a lot.now i gotta buy a new ps..and actually reconfigure the bios(don't have clue about that xD).but that'll be easy i guess

again i really appreciate ur help!
I believe the instructions could help starting at page 35 with configuring the bios. its always a good idea to reset it anyway when installing new hardware. hey the coolest thing is you learned a lot about troubleshooting in the last few days. I'm glad it wasn't something major like the mobo. that would have included a reinstall of windows. Good for you man.
