Problems installing drivers for VX 3000 webcam

I got an older webcam from my garage today and tried plugging it in, at first it seemed like it was doing fine installing the drivers but then it said it failed, so naturally I went to the site got the drivers I needed and tried installing but every time I try to install them it says the setup failed due to an unexpected error. I tried searching for a solution but it seems everyone has no problems with the installation. I'm running windows 7 build 7100, if you need any other information lemme know. Thank you for any assistance.

To solve the OS mismatch error when installing drivers written for different OS's install the drivers in compatibility mode with the OS they are written for :

To install a driver in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista/xp etc - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.

I just visted the site and there are 3 different downloads - i didnt realise there was a Windows 7 driver available (of course it wont install in compatibility mode with a previous OS as its the latest you just install it normally) and since your saying it wont install why dont you try the vista or the xp driver in compatibility mode ? XP driver requires XP compatibility mode to be installed on Windows 7 and vista driver, vista compatibility mode.

That's a good question, why don't I try that...ok I tried it and it doesn't work as vista, same error message, and running it in any xp mode says it's not compatible.
