    Hardware info needed

    Hi there...

I am really confused.... I am now in the verge of upgrading my computer. I have 250 GB hard disk as a C drive and 1 TB hard disk as D drive. I also use 2 DVD writters ... I also have a 9600 nvidia 1GB video card. I am very sure that, 450W SMPS will not be enough. I would like to know if 600W SMPS would support my configuration or should I get 750W SMPS?

Please update! Any information is much appreciated.

I am running a pretty powerful system off of a 380 watt Seasonic Power supply. Look at my system specs and you will see that. Your system will be fine with the existing power supply.

You can calculate your power needs here:
    eXtreme Power Supply Calculator

One important input not to miss is the last one: Capacitor Aging. If your power supply is over one year old then set this at 10%. 2 years = 20%. and so on.

Restarting PC can be caused by many reasons.

    1. Bad RAM stick
    2. Faulty Mobo
    3. Low power supply
    4. Dust

Check for all the above mentioned points. If you really think that your PSU is not up to the mark. Then i would suggest to go for 450W PSU, but a branded one. As most of the PSUs which come with the cabinet do not supply enough power.

you can try i-ball 450W. It will cost you only 13-14$.

You may have a poor or failing PSU.

But a high quality 450 watt PSU would be more than enough.

Try to find a decent brand from your suppliers. That is difficult to do in some areas of the world.

Agreed 100%. Your power needs, based off what you have explained are very low.
