One note I would like to make. Make sure you disable all the services the Video Driver installed. 99% of the time they cause problems and really are un-needed. -WS

Perform a Complete Restore

Otherwise, for a 1/2 year old laptop that has a non-removable battery, my suggestion would be to use the warranty, in which case they will do the recovery for you, so really it is worth doing yourself to test. This may be a hardware problem that is graphics related.

Backup any important data to an external drive or USB flash drive prior to doing either of the above.
I've already restored it to factory settings twice, and according to Samsung, I have no warranty.

There are no services for the video driver. It's just the driver and I've already updated it as well.

Somewhere it was stated the video card is an nVidia if so there are services. You might double check them. -WS

I see none except for the integrated because the GeForce is Optimus. It's not turned on unless I turn it on or the program needs better graphics.

Please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

The above will help us determine any program conflicts.

Well I just restored to factory settings and updated all the drivers. If I have more problems after that, then I'll post it up.

If you can, please post back either way. It would be nice to have posted what actions provided the solution for you. You can even mark the thread as solved if it's appropriate.
