Folder changed to file after using CHKDSK

Hello.
I have this problem:
Today, I plugged USB flash drive to my PC and a window named Do you want to scan and fix [my USB name]? So I clicked yes and let it do the scanning. After a while, a window popped up that it fixed broken files on USB. But when i opened it, one of the folders was changed into a file without file extension and icon, and it size changed to 10kb, althrough the original folder was much larger. There were some important files there, so I would be really happy if it was fixed.
The OS is Windows 7 64bit.
