Hi,
Using Partition Wizard, what messages do you get if you try to Format the drive?
Right-click on it, then select FORMAT from the context menu.

Hiyya Golden
Only thing that comes up is "modify" and all refs to that like everything else is greyed out and I can't even snip it to let you see.
Hi,
If you select MODIFY, you should see an option called SET TO PRIMARY or SET TO LOGICAL. Do you see those?

Ouch. And it still shows as Bad Disk in Partition Wizard right?
You've already tried DISKPART, you've effectively tried a Linux distribution (Parted Magic), I'm not sure what else to try...let me mull this over a bit.

And if this external drive is connected to another computer?
and if the connection cable is replaced?
OK. One more thing, Its a Seagate, so lets see what the SeaTools diagnostic tells us about this disk.
Download, install and run the Windows version of Seatools. See if it recognises the drive. There are a bunch of tests you can run. Try the short generic test first.
SeaTools | Seagate
It looks like this.

NO mate comes up with a fail on in depth scan / test the short test passed and now my snip is playing up something rotten.
Thanks to everyone for helping out but I don't think the drive is worth this sort of hassle - just put it down to bad luck
Oh, you have big problem now
I see you are using MiniTool Partition Wizard. That is one good tool, I know for this.
In this application you can make Bootable version of this I think , or you can download it directly from MiniTool website. You can try to fix that problem with this bootable tool.
If that dont help , there is small option Wipe Disk (there is Wipe Partition too, but try with Wipe Disk first). Maybe that can revive your hard disk but use it at your own risk. I didnt tested it , I never needn't to do anything like this.
If you do it , and after all this you have problem with your Hard Drive........ I'm sorry.
