Wireless keyboard issue diagnosis help please..

This involves a Sony i7 8gb w/ 256 SSD. It uses a "wireless" keyboard and mouse. Not IR or BT.

About a month ago, coinciding with the SSD install, I began to lose connectivity with the keyboard. The keyboard has a connectivity LED that can begin to flash, then when you're typing either there's no response or the response lags behind so that you see an entire sentence or string of characters appear on the screen all at once.

Sony replaced the keyboard and the issue continued. The issue can occur in the bios as well.

I've used their connect program and changed the batteries. They sent a tech with a USB dongle which I rejected as I use all USB ports on occasion. The unit is in warranty with in home service and I am insisting on being able to use all 5 USB ports and to have the machine repaired in home. I see no reason why I shoud settle for less of a machine or to lose the machine for an unknown period of time. I paid for in home warranty service after all.

At the moment I have a fax into their President for resolution but I'm beginning ot feel like a fool for spending this much only to get treated like junk.

I dont think it;s related at all to the SSD and I suspect it's an issue woth the wireless transmitter on the MB. They're obviously reluctant to send out a tech with a new MB but if that's what it tales - well.... ?

And the mouse can be buggy at times too.

    Thoughts please..
