    H-P LaserJet 6P Printer won't print

Suddenly (two years since Windows 7 was installed), the printer will not print a document. However, printer (H-P Laser 6P) WILL print test page. The steps I followed are:

    1. Document sent to printer.

    2. Document hangs. I open a new Word window but get message: (Not Responding)

    3. I go to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Devices and Printers.

    4. Document is listed; nothing in status. I hit cancel. Document successfully canceled.

    5. I run batch file [Run as Administrator]

    net stop spooler
    del /F /Q %systemroot%\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*
    net start spooler

    6. Batch file clears print spooler

    7. I go to step 1 to try again. Same problem.

NOTE: I have already performed the trouble-shooting utility on

Your print profile may be corrupted.

Is it a wireless printer or USB?

I'd be inclined to uninstall the printer and physically disconnect it if it has a USB connection, then restart your computer and reinstall your printer software.

    Printer won't print

The printer is a direct connection (not USB). I was initially unable to get the H-P Laserjet 6P to print with Windows 7 and had to take it to a pro to get it to work. If I uninstall it, I'm afraid I'll compound the problem. If I can't fet it working by 6/1 I'll be taking it back to the computer shop. I was hoping to save about $75.
