Cannot install Windows on IDE HDD

I cannot install Windows on one pc, I'm getting this error:

Cannot install Windows on IDE HDD-vaja.jpg

I'm using IDE HDD and SATA DVD-RW. HDD is set as master.

    Someone to help me? :)

    Thanks, StalkeR.

I take it that you're trying to install from a DVD. Do you get the same result if you try to install from USB?

What is the current state of the IDE drive? Is it completely unformatted? You could try doing wiping the disk with something like DISKPART.

It's not from the disk. I have used it many times before and it works fine.

I have deleted the partition from partitions part, and I cannot continue installing.

I'll let tonight that software from Hirens Boot to check the hdd for bad sectors.

What does the BIOS look like?
Does it list the drive, and where? I'm thinking you will have SATA and IDE together in some order, and how it is listed may provide a clue.

I'm wondering if you disconnected the optical drive and only had the IDE drive connected and tried USB install, would that bypass the problem?

Try the drive on another PC and do a full format with Disk Management and re-try the install.
