Yup, Dave is right. If you install incompatible RAM it will do one of two things, no boot or you'll get a BSOD really quick. Just power off and swap it and try again. Nothing will be harmed.

Another AMD quirk is that it has problems running with 4 slots full of RAM at times.

Hum didn't know that Gary I wondered why my son's gamer went slower when I threw in four sticks of RAM - mind you they were two each of different brands.
