Restart issues with new motherboard Asrock N68C-S UCC

    Hey guys,

I am new to the forum, just signed up. To start things off I wanna ask if any of you have any experience with the Asrock N68C-S UCC motherboard or ever had to deal with a restart issue I'm facing with the Asrock N68C-S UCC. I just did a clean install after replacing my old ASUS motherboard with this new Asrock.

With default BIOS settings loaded, whenever I am in windows and need to do a restart, the system just shuts down and stays shut down, the monitor going into sleep mode. The rig is still on though, power circulating, fans spinning and all the lights connected still blinking. Yet I get no POST, no beeps to suggest the system is rebooting.

I checked the BIOS settings, enabled and disabled to see what might have cause this but nothing indicates that this restart issue can be helped. Its either that or I am extremely unfamiliar with the Asrock BIOS setting and terms/descriptions used. At the moment I'm not sure if this is a manufactured faulty motherboard or improper BIOS settings.

    Any ideas? Please help!

At the moment I am running it with
    phenom ii x2 550be
    markvision ddr2-800 2x2gb
    corsair nova 30gb ssd
    xfx gtx 260 core 216
    coolermaster extreme 600 watt

    Update the BIOS...
I don't mean to sound ignorant, but flashing the BIOS with the latest version did not seem to resolve the problem. I did it over the weekend and still no change in restart failure.

After testing, nosing in the BIOS setting, installing and reinstalling I figured what the 'hey'. I'm just gonna ask for a replacement or have the local PC fix it. They did sell me the motherboard with a month's warranty. Not a typical whole year warranty as the manufacturer would offer, but still.
