    can i avoid w7 spin up my usb hard disk during the boot?


    Hi
    i did notice that at every boot , w7 spins up my hard disk during the boot

    can i avoid this?

    and my boot is slower

    Is there a reason you need to keep the external drive constantly connected?

    The easy answer is to "Safely Remove" it from the system and then unplug it before you shut down. Then plug it back in after you start up.

    I don't see what you can gain from leaving it plugged in all the time, and it is slowing things down, so....

    have the drive pluged in during the boot, makes the boot slower!

    What TVeblen means, I think, is don't plug the external in until you have to use it.
