Will my mobo support 3tb drives?

I have an HPE 490t computer with 12 gigs of ram. I have several tb's of external hd backup but, because I have lots of still images (photography enthusiast) I need more. I'd like to install one 3tb drive internally and one in an external case. I've heard that 3tb drives won't work in most mobos of the era in which I bought my computer. My mobo is a Pegatron 2A86 version 1.04. Will it support 3TB drives?
