Epson BX305FW printer failed to install on Windows 7 64
I have just installed an Epson BW305FW plus on my PC running Windows 7 64 bit. It doesn't work.
Although the printer window says the device is ready to run, when I try to print nothing comes to the printer queue, the ink levels are grey on the Printer Preferences, and if I try to run Status Manager from the printer software it says Communications Error.
I have tested the USB cable on another Epson printer wiuth a different compouter, and it's fine. The PC usb port is also fine. The printer port is virtual port USB0001. The printer works when installed on my other PCF, running XP. The printer also prints a test page when instructed from the printer keypad.
I didn't install the fax option for the printer, but otherwise the installation seemed normal. It seemed to update the driver as I installed.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
