Issue with CD drive

Hi,

I am having an issue with copying CDs as a back up for use in the car, but for some reason the blank CDs will not load in my laptop drive? You can hear the head constantly keep moving!! I have managed to use a DVD to copy stuff and that works ok?
The blank CDs I am using are from the same pack of 25, used 15 already, tho it was a few months ago.. So could it just be the CDs or can I repair - adjust something in the laptop?

I have tried to load original CDs but its the same with them, the head keeps moving and then ejects CD?

Any advice?

Pointer to the fact that the lense was dirty. Clean the lense periodically with a lense cleaner CD or atleast before using the optical drive.
