My HD Monitor: what are these marks on my screen?

For months now, there are these marks on my HD Monitor screen. It looks like the outer layer being...peeled. It's fine and I don't notice it when I look at it at an angle, but straight forward, they're small, but noticeable. I attached a 2-in-1 image from my camera on these things from my screen. Please take a look. Thank you.

What kind of HD monitor do you have? Do you use any screen savers? Two possible answers come to mind, one is that it could be some pixels that have burnt out or gone bad. The other is an image burn in from leaving the monitor on for long periods of time. Other than that I have no other answers for you.

If the monitor is still under warranty, you could call and probably get it exchanged.

It's an Acer S232HL. And I got it this past March-April, so it's under warranty, plus Best Buy's Geek Squad service. But, I don't know where the receipt is, nor if this is under the warranty/service because I got two things via Best Buy, and I don't know if one or both got that protection coverage.

Anyways, it's more on the outside (the screen). Because I'm putting my mouse arrow under one of those spots and it's showing on the screen, under that spot. So it can't be a pixel problem, more like maybe a screen covering problem.

Pressure marks?
There are thin sheets of plastic that make up the screen. These sheets are very delicate and if too much pressure is applied to them they will create what are known as pressure marks.

I can't find a good picture on google showing me what a pressure mark is, that is what I have. What I did see, though, was that its like a dark area, right? If so, then that's not what it is.

It's more like...peeled, like I said in the opening post. I use a microfiber sheet to clean the screen as best as I can, by not trying too hard unless, and these things appeared before I got those sheets. But, when I clean this screen, I did feel around as carefully as I could, and it felt like edges, like it does feel like these spots are like the outer layer were peeled off a bit. My sorry, but that's as best as I can explain it, unless I come up with better words later on.

Sorry to double post, but here's a question related to this: what would be a proper way to clean this screen? I was told gently with a microfiber cloth, but was I told wrong, and are other ways?
