I have spent 6 weeks with Dell Tech support and I'm on my second XPS 15 Laptop in efforts to find a solution to adjusting the sensitivity of the tapping feature on the Synaptics touchpad (
Driver V7.4 on PS/2 Port). They even replaced the touchpad on the first XPS 15 with no effect. I can see no difference in touch sensitivity with the tapping feature between furthest most left hand setting "Light Touch" and furthest most right hand setting "Heavy Touch". Tech support advises that I should see a noticible difference and that it must be a failure in my perception. It is almost impossible to navigate the cursor about the screen without selecting something inadvertantly. Dell advises there are no other complaints regarding this issue. I have checked a Dell Inspiron at Best Buy and it behaves the same way. There must be an issue. Has anyone else had this experience?
